While Planet-Safe® is not backyard compostable, it has been evaluated per ISO 20200 and found to satisfy ASTM-D6400 testing requirements to be considered industrially compostable. At this time, spent labware such as Planet-Safe® is tightly regulated and not accepted at major industrial compost facilities.
